Ever since I discovered I have aphantasia, I’ve been working nearly daily to try to cure the affliction. I consider aphantasia an affliction because it dramatically affects my ability to remember the past through episodic memory. While I do believe there are some advantages to having aphantasia, I’m confident these advantages will remain even after visual imagery is restored. I believe this because I’ve personally made significant progress in restoring my own visual imagery, but I have not lost the abstract reasoning ability, meditation abilities, and pattern recognition I think my mind naturally developed over the years.

How to Cure Aphantasia

Back in 2015, I read this article in the New York Times: Picture This? Some Just Can’t

I remember reading the article, and not quite understanding what the author meant by “mental images.” Even after reading the article, I was unaware that I was suffering from the same condition as patient “MX.” My own mind’s eye was completely blind, but I was still unaware of that fact.

It wasn’t until 2016, when I read this article by Blake Ross, the co-creator of Mozilla Firefox, that I realized I too had something called aphantasia. Up until recently, and ever since birth, I hadn’t been able to produce any mental imagery, sounds, tastes, touch or any other sensory experience in my mind. None whatsoever. Essentially, when I closed my eyes in a quiet environment, I was immediately engulfed in a state of meditation. I found it easy to clear my mind, because I had no imagery, no sounds, and no other sensations bombarding my mind.

Fortunately, I am still able to meditate just as easily today. However, after discovering the condition, I dedicated all of my free time to discovering how to achieve mental imagery. I tried “image streaming.” I tried every supplement you can imagine. I tried things which I’ll never admit to trying!

After many years of pursuing mental imagery – I finally reached a breakthrough! One day, before bed, I was able to see visuals clearly for the very first time. It happened suddenly and it completely blew me away. I expected it to be amazing, but even I was blown away by how wonderful the experience was. I was able to go from absolutely nothing to suddenly seeing vivid moving images, in color, with the ability to control what images I wanted to see. I couldn’t believe it.

Fortunately, that experience wasn’t the last. Just a few days later, it happened again. Additionally, I was starting to hear phantom sounds in my mind. I hadn’t worked to achieve sounds in my mind at all, but here they were! I couldn’t believe my luck. Was something changing in my brain?

Ever since that first experience, I have had many, many visualizations and even sounds come to my mind’s eye. I still work daily to achieve this, but I’ve learned a few keys to success which I would like to share with you in this community. The best part is, I haven’t lost any of the advantages I had developed over the years as a coping mechanism.

If you struggle with aphantasia like I did, you have to give this program a chance. With a basic membership, and for a limited time only, I’ll share all of the tips and strategies I used over the years to accomplish my goal of seeing visual imagery. With a monthly subscription, I’ll even share my latest, up-to-date, tips and ideas for continued success.

If you have aphantasia, but you don’t think having the ability to visualize in your mind is a big deal, you are dead wrong. I’ve missed over 30 years of episodic memories by not having a functioning mind’s eye. However, with my new skills, I’m looking forward to living my life to the fullest, and to building new memories.

If you would like to join the program, click here. Some memberships are limited in size, so they will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, I don’t know if I plan to run this community indefinitely. As long as I continue to improve my visualization abilities, I would like to share them with the community. However, if I am able to achieve daily, clear visualization for an extended period, I will probably refocus on other hobbies and interests at that time. So while it lasts, join us today and learn how to visualize!
